Next year’s coronation of Britain’s King Charles

London: Buckingham Palace has officially announced that the coronation of Britain’s King Charles III will take place on May 6 next year. Britain’s Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96 on September 8 in Scotland. His son Charles was subsequently proclaimed King of Britain. Known as Charles III, he ascended the throne last month. In this case, Buckingham Palace has officially announced that the coronation ceremony of King Charles III will take place on May 6, 2023 at Westminster Palace in London.

Charles III is currently 74 years old, making him the oldest monarch in British history. Charles’ reign as king will officially begin after the coronation. According to tradition, King Charles III will take the throne with a scepter in hand. After being consecrated and blessed by senior clergy, King Charles III will be crowned. King Charles will then address the people from the attic at Buckingham Palace.
