How did Vobble pitch on Shark Tank India?

Vobble was one of the startups that pitched on Shark Tank India, the Indian version of the popular reality show where entrepreneurs present their business ideas to a panel of investors, or sharks, and try to convince them to invest in their ventures.

Vobble was founded by Rajesh Kumar and Neha Sharma, two passionate audio enthusiasts who wanted to create a platform that would cater to the growing demand for audio content in India. They launched Vobble in 2023 and quickly gained traction among users and creators.

They pitched Vobble on Shark Tank India, seeking ₹2 crore for 10% equity in their company. They impressed the sharks with their vision, product, and traction, and received offers from three sharks: Ritesh Agarwal, founder and CEO of OYO Rooms, Vani Kola, managing director of Kalaari Capital, and Rajan Anandan, president of TiE Delhi-NCR and former Google India head.

Who invested in Vobble and why?

After a heated negotiation, Vobble accepted the offer from Ritesh Agarwal, who agreed to invest ₹2 crore for 15% equity in their company, valuing Vobble at ₹13.33 crore. Ritesh Agarwal also offered to provide mentorship, network, and strategic guidance to Vobble, as well as access to OYO’s user base and distribution channels.

Ritesh Agarwal said that he invested in Vobble because he believed in the potential of audio as a medium and the opportunity to create a large and loyal community of audio creators and consumers in India. He also praised the founders for their passion, execution, and innovation, and said that he was excited to partner with them and help them scale their business.

What are the future plans of Vobble?

Vobble plans to use the funds from Shark Tank India to expand their team, improve their product, and grow their user base. They also plan to introduce new features, such as live audio rooms, podcasts, and monetization options for creators.

Vobble’s vision is to become the leading audio platform in India and beyond, and to empower millions of people to express themselves and connect with others through audio.
