Flipkart launches its own UPI service to rival Amazon Pay and Paytm

Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform, has launched its own Unified Payments Interface (UPI) service in collaboration with Axis Bank. Flipkart UPI allows users to make online payments within the app, send money to vendors and friends, and easily pay bills using UPI ID, phone numbers, or QR codes.

Flipkart UPI is seen as a strategic move to expand its presence in the digital payments sector, giving competition to Amazon Pay, which already operates its own payment vertical. The launch of Flipkart UPI also comes amid increasing digital adoption in India, with more users embracing online transactions for their convenience and security.

Flipkart is offering a range of benefits for Flipkart UPI transactions, such as supercoins, cashback, and vouchers. Users can get ten supercoins on their first five scan and pay transactions on a minimum payment of Rs. 100. Similarly, the Walmart-backed e-commerce company is offering flat Rs. 25 off on the first Flipkart order.

Flipkart UPI is currently available exclusively for Android users via the Flipkart app. Users can register for a new UPI ID with the @fkaxis handle for their digital transactions using the Flipkart app.
