Hugh Grant’s Comments on Drew Barrymore’s Singing

Hugh Grant, who was promoting his Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves film on Wired’s interview series, recently made comments about his co-star’s singing ability. In response to a question about whether he sang his own vocals in Music and Lyrics, Grant responded that he was “AutoTuned beyond belief” but not as much as some. He then went on to criticize Barrymore’s singing, stating that “her singing is just horrendous. I mean, I’ve heard dogs bark better than she sings.”

Barrymore’s response came in the form of a social media video where she can be seen singing a snippet of “Way Back Into Love” while holding a hairbrush in her dressing room at The Drew Barrymore Show. She sang the lyrics, “All I wanna do is find a way back into love/ I can make it through without a way back into love,” before jokingly adding, “Oh Hugh…bert. Hubert. That’s for you” with a smile.

Grant’s Latest Press Gaffes

This is not the first time that Hugh Grant has made a gaffe in the press this week. The actor made headlines for his interview with Ashley Graham on the Oscars red carpet last Sunday, which went viral. Additionally, Grant recently reunited with his Four Weddings and a Funeral co-star Andie MacDowell to present the award for best production design.
