China successfully launches 3rd lab module to Tiangong Space Station

Hainan: China has successfully launched the 3rd and final laboratory module to Tiangong Space Station. China is building a space station to rival the International Space Station. China is sending the laboratory modules needed to complete the space station divided into 3 sections. 3rd lab module has been successfully launched while 2 lab modules have already been launched.

The 20-metric-ton Mengdian module was launched from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in Hainan Province using a Long March 5B Y3 rocket. The Mengtian Laboratory Module will be connected to the main core module of the space lab. The airlock cabin on the Vendian was designed to accommodate the astronauts. Mengtian’s airlock cabin will enable automatic entry and exit of cargo, according to space station program scientists.
