The Indian woman scientist becomes the Chancellor’s advisor

Dr. Arthi Prabhakar, 63, a renowned scientist of Washington-Indian descent, has been nominated for the post of Scientific Adviser to the President of the United States.

President Joe Biden has nominated Aarti Prabhakar, a renowned engineer, and physicist, for the post of Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy for advising the US President on science. He will assume this responsibility after the approval of the Senate of Parliament.

Arati Prabhakar is proud to be the first woman and the first foreigner to assume this responsibility.

Vice President Kamala Harris and US Trade Representative Katherine Thai are already in the cabinet.
