More than 2,000 people affected by cholera in Pakistan… The government requests the World Health Organization to send medicines!!

Islamabad: More than 2,000 people have been affected by cholera in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. In Pakistan last month monsoon rains caused floods in Balochistan province. Basic structures including roads and residences suffered major damage due to flooding. Due to rains and floods, drinking water pipes broke in various places and sewage mixed with it. As a result, diarrhea has affected people in 13 districts of Balochistan province.

Cholera infection has also been found to be spreading in 2 provinces namely Lat and Sob. So far, more than 2000 people have been infected with cholera, so emergency has been declared in government hospitals and intensive treatment is being provided. Officials have reported that some districts in Balochistan have lost their lives due to cholera infection and have requested help from the World Health Center to send cholera medicines and doctors.
