Monkey pox is a global epidemic; 35,000 people affected

Geneva: The World Health Organization has said that the need for vaccines has increased manifold due to the intensification of monkeypox outbreaks across the world. While the countries of the world are struggling to get rid of the corona virus, the spread of measles is causing great challenges for the health systems. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, head of the World Health Organization, said that monkeypox has been confirmed in 92 countries so far.

Athanam said that about 35 thousand people in these countries are the target of the monkeypox virus. According to WHO data, the death toll due to monkeypox has increased to 12. The World Health Organization reports that the spread of monkeypox is intensifying around the world, with 7,500 confirmed cases of monkeypox in the past week alone. He also said that due to the intensifying spread of monkeypox across the world, the demand for vaccines has increased manifold internationally.
