51% increase in petrol price in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Students protested against the hike in petrol prices in Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, the government increased the price of fuel on the 5th. Diesel and kerosene prices were hiked by 42.5 per cent, while petrol and octane prices were hiked by 51.1 and 51.7 per cent respectively. Due to the increase in fuel prices, public transport fares have also been hiked. So the students started protesting to demand reduction in fuel price.
